David Cantu, LCSW

David is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He received a M.S. in Social Work from the University of Michigan. He teaches as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas San Antonio. His professional practice focuses on a multidisciplinary and collaborative client care. He assists clients with pre-operation psychological evaluations, behavioral testing, individual and family counseling, as well as pain management groups. He is recognized as an expert witness in the Bexar County civil and criminal court. He utilizes a variety of therapeutic interventions such as crisis intervention, cognitive behavior theory, cognitive theory, narrative theory, and motivational interviewing. He provides counseling services to diverse populations experiencing behavioral issues such as anxiety and depression as well as other diagnosis. He has a ten-year history of active duty military service, which allows him to relate to military culture.
